| FINGERPRINTS
Even scientists understand that this universe will not last forever. They realize that there is more out there than what we know. There is so much evidence for a bigger picture. Why are You so out of the question? Your presence is so evident in this universe, this galaxy, this world. They see the patterns of order in our universe. How do they think it got there? They think an age can be placed on the universe--how was such a complex, complicated, orderly and beautiful phenomenon created? Is there no purpose? You are the mastermind, the artist. How are we so blind? In relation to the "big picture" we are smaller than a speck of dust. Why would we be on this Earth, in this lonely universe, if we served no purpose? I can ask You to make Yourself known more, but what more do we want from You? Your fingerprints are EVERYWHERE! | | |
| I'm baaaaack! Who knows if I'll write in here for another year,
but I feel obligated to write an entry now for Becca...it really
doesn't seem that long ago that I wrote my last entry, but it's been
over a year. Time FLIES!
To sum up this past year in a single entry would be pretty much
impossible. It's been a year of growth, new experiences, new
friendships, spiritual highs and a few lows also. It's been a
year of patience, but also of exciting times. I'd say this has
been a pretty monumental year of my life. To be honest, it's hard
to imagine what it was like before this year. I'm sure glad I
went through all the good, bad and stressful times.
As most of you know, and are probably sick of hearing about, I went to
Newport Beach, CA last summer with Campus Crusade for Christ on a
summer project. We spent 2 and a half months with college
students from all over the country working as a ministry to the people
of Newport Beach. I could go into a lot more detail, but let's
just say that it was the most rewarding, exciting, difficult but
altogether wonderful experience of my life. I'm happy to say that
I will be returning to California in August to catch up with a few
friends and enjoy the California landscape and lifestyle for a little
more than a week.
A few other notable events of the year would include hosting about 20
of my friends from my summer project at my house over Christmas break,
growing closer to some of my best friends at West Chester, traveling to
New Orleans to do relief work, and now taking summer classes ( I am
going to graduate on time now!!! WAHOO!!!)
In the midst of all the hustle and bustle of the past year, I haven't
had a lot of time to spend with my family. Since the beginning of
May I have been living at home, and in stark contrast to past summers,
I am loving (almost) every minute of being back in Glenmoore. I
have been keeping very busy with classes, work, babysitting, Bible
study and friends, but the time at home has been relaxing and a nice
change of pace. I have grown to really appreciate my family more
than ever and cherish these precious few months I have at home.
In August I will be moving in to my first "big person" apartment in
West Chester! I feel so old!
On that note, I'll probably update you guys again in another year. At that point I will be 21, an old woman!
Have a great summer everyone! Stay safe and God bless you!

| I CAN SEE THE FLOOR IN MY ROOM AGAIN!!!!!!
For those of you who have not seen my bedroom in its usual state, this
is BIG news! My room is usually a total disaster. For the
past year and a half it has been so bad that I have actually had to
sleep in the guest room when I'm home! But it's done, and it's
clean and it's pretty! YAY!!!!
Hope everyone's summers are starting off on a good note!
HAPPY DAY!

| Wow, I didn't realize how random my updates were! Sorry bout that!
Well, things have been pretty busy lately. The semester's almost
over (last day of classes is this Wednesday!) I have lots of
quizzes and tests to study for, projects to complete, and moving out to
do! Had a pretty good weekend...I'm sad it's over! My
dad says he can tell the semester's almost over because I've been
coming home a lot! Friday night I ended up getting a little sick,
so I went home for the night and just relaxed with my parents.
I've been enjoying time w/ my family so much lately! I'm really
gonna miss them this summer when I'm in Newport Beach! Saturday I
had the usual morning Bible Study with Cindy and was blessed as usual
through it! Saturday night was the Cru Fellowship Dinner.
It was so awesome! I actually helped out with Childcare, which
was at the Naz. Only 2 kids showed up out of 10 possible!
And there were 5 of us there to babysit! But we ended up having a
good time anyways....even though the kids were a little crazy with
their "angry confidence!" Sunday morning was church and then I
went home to do laundry and clean my room! Ha! My room
hasn't been cleaned in over a year! Needless to say it was a
disaster! It's still a bit of a mess, but I made major
progress. I found so much stuff from my past and spent a lot of
the day reminiscing. I had forgotten about so many things and it
was a good reminder to see where I came from. I think my favorite
part was finding 2 huge shoeboxes filled with old notes and cards from
friends. It goes back to 7th grade-ish and was so amusing!
Then my brother found my diary from 4th grade and proceeded to read
various entries about being mad at Lacey, Michele and Briget, and then
another about Jordan losing his lip bumper! Haha! It was
great! Oh yeah, later that night I actually dyed my brother's
hair black! Weird emo kid....but I love him anyways!
Hope everyone else had a great weekend!
